Remember the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition that launched in markets like the U.K., Germany, and United Arab Emirates last year? Well today it's finally made its way to the U.S.
The BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition is now available from Amazon and Best Buy in the U.S. This is a GSM unlocked model, meaning that it should play nicely with AT&T and T-Mobile as well as their prepaid subsidiaries.
This version of the BlackBerry KEYone offers a few notable changes from the standard model. The obvious one is the look of it, with the Black Edition offering a matte black finish on its aluminum frame. Also included is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, up from 3GB and 32GB on the standard KEYone.
In addition to those features, the BlackBerry KEYone Black Editoin offers a 4.5-inch 1620x1080 display, 12MP camera with Sony IMX378 sensor, 8MP front camera, and a Snapdragon 625 processor. There's a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and a 3,505mAh battery included, too, and the phone comes preloade with Android 7.1 Nougat.
For anyone that's been on the fence about the KEYone or is just a hardcore fan of the device, this Black Edition looks like the model to get. Not only does the matte black finish look great, but the added RAM will help give a performance boost and the additional storage is welcome, too. The KEYone may be nearing its first birthday, but there aren't many smartphones out there with a physical keyboard, so the KEYone is still very relevant for fans of hardware QWERTYs.
