Some recent analyst reports have suggested that the iPhone XR is suffering from weak initial sales, but an Apple exec says that that's not the case.
Apple vice president of marketing Greg Joswiak says that the iPhone XR has outsold the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max every day since its launch on October 26. The iPhone XR has "been our most popular iPhone each and every day since the day it became available," Joswiak told CNET.
Of course, Joswiak didn't say exactly how many iPhone XR units have been sold. And now that Apple will no longer report unit sales for iPhone, it's unlikely that we'll ever find out exactly how well the iPhone XR has sold.
The iPhone XR is Apple's lower cost iPhone for this year, coming in at a starting price of $749 while the iPhone XS starts at $999 and the iPhone XS Max starts at $1099. Despite its lower price, the iPhone XR offers the same A12 Bionic chipset as the XS and XS Max as well as an edge-to-edge notched display, a 12MP wide angle rear camera with Portrait Mode, and six color options: red, yellow, white, coral, black, and blue.
Have you tried the iPhone XR yet? If so, what do you think of it?
