T-Mobile Premium Device Protection Plus offers protection and support for all of your devices

T-Mobile Un-carrier 3 event

T-Mobile has unveiled a new insurance program that aims to not only protect your smartphone, but also your personal info and all of the other devices in your life.

Premium Device Protection (PDP) Plus is launching this Sunday, May 7, at T-Mobile. Pricing is set at $12 or $15 per month, depending on which device you have.

So what do you get for your monthly payment? PDP Plus includes all of the features of the Premium Device Protection program, including hardware service, AppleCare, and coverage against loss, theft, and accidental damage, and adds a trio of other new services on top of it.

First is McAfee ID Protection, which includes Lost Wallet and ID Restoration services supported by $1 million insurance for qualifying recovery expenses. You can get support for these services from 24/7 agents.

Also included is McAfee Device Protection. This service will guard up to 10 of your devices from viruses and other threats. Not only can your phone and tablet be covered under this service, but your PC or Mac can, too.

Finally, there’s Tech Personal Help Desk. With Tech PHD, you can get “VIP-level access” to technical support for devices that your T-Mobile phone or tablet might connect to, like a router, TV, or game console. You can get support via online chat, over the phone, or using self-serve resources.

T-Mobile is also launching a JUMP! Plus program, which is PDP Plus bundled with JUMP! upgrades. With JUMP!, you can upgrade to a new smartphone after you pay off at least 50 percent of your EIP-financed device and trade the device in to T-Mobile.

Also of note is that if you’ve purchased a new device and added a protection plan within the last 60 days, you can upgrade to the new JUMP! Plus plan.

Not everyone is going to feel the need to add ID theft protection, virus protection, and more to their lives, but this is an all-in-one solution for folks that want a simple way to safeguard all of the data and devices in their lives. If that’s you, then you can sign up for T-Mobile’s Premium Device Protection Plus program this weekend.
