Sprint Magic Box is an indoor small cell that'll boost your LTE coverage

Sprint Magic Box official

Sprint today took the wraps off of a new box to help boost cellular coverage in and around your home or business.

The Sprint Magic Box is an LTE small cell that can boost cellular coverage both indoors and outdoors. Sprint says that the box can provide coverage for around 30,000 square feet indoors and that it can extend about 100 meters outdoors.

The Magic Box is an all-cellular device, meaning that you don’t need to connect it to your home or business internet to get it working. The device must be placed near a window so that it can connect to a nearby Sprint cell site, and then the Magic Box will send out an LTE signal using the 2.5GHz band.

Customers and businesses can get a Magic Box for free, though Sprint does caution that it may charge up to $140 if the Magic Box isn’t returned when the customer is done with it.

Sprint says that Magic Box deliveries have already begun. If you’re interested in requesting a Magic Box, you can do so right here.
