Instagram is making it even easier to share photos to your followers.
The mobile web version of Instagram now lets you post photos. This is a lightweight version of Instagram, meaning that you can’t apply filters to your photos, but you can rotate them and add a caption if you’d like.
Instagram has also added the Explore tab to its mobile web version, letting you view all of your suggested photos and videos.
Previously, users could browse their feed, Like, follow accounts, search and see notifications from the mobile web version of Instagram. These updates make Instagram on the mobile web much more useful, but there are still some features that you can only access in the app, like video uploads, Stories, and Direct Messaging.
With the addition of sharing and the Explore tab on the mobile web, Instagram is becoming a much better experience for folks that don’t have the app. Not everyone can install the app because of storage restrictions on their phone or due to some other reason. Now those folks can more fully participate in Instagram, sharing photos of their own and exploring other images and videos that they might like.
