More than one month after the iPhone XR launch, Apple has finally begun selling a case for its colorful phone.
The iPhone XR Clear Case is now available from Apple for $39. The case is made of a blend of polycarbonate and TPU materials, giving it a clear look and flexible design. The case covers the buttons on the side of the iPhone XR and also allows it to work with Qi wireless charging, even with the case on.
Here's Apple's description of the iPhone XR Clear Case:
"Thin, light, and easy to grip — this case lets you enjoy the look of iPhone XR while providing extra protection. It’s also crafted with a blend of optically clear polycarbonate and flexible TPU materials, so the case fits right over the buttons for easy use. On the surface, a scratch-resistant coating has been applied not only to the exterior, but also to the interior. Need to wirelessly charge? Just leave the case on your iPhone and set it on your Qi-certified charger."
Apple has long sold cases for its iPhones, including both silicone and leather options for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. However, the company didn't have any official cases for the iPhone XR at launch, and it took more than a month for this clear case to launch. It's kind of strange that it took so long, but it's nice that Apple finally has a case option for iPhone XR owners. And of course, it's a clear case to help you show off the color of your iPhone XR while also adding protection and grip.
