It's time for another major device to begin receiving its Android 8.0 Oreo update.
Samsung has started pushing Android 8.0 to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The update is only rolling out in Germany right now, so if you've got a GS8 or GS8+ in Germany, keep an eye out for the OTA update to hit your device or check for it manually by tapping the "Download updates manually" button in your Settings app.
This update weighs in at 487.04MB and includes the February 2018 Android security patches as well as improvements to Samsung's keyboard and DeX features, new Always-On Display clock styles, and other new features.
It's unclear exactly when Samsung will begin pushing Android 8.0 to Galaxy S8 owners in other parts of the globe, but today's news is still exciting for GS8 users outside of Germany. That's because shows that Samsung has completed its Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and so it shouldn't be too much longer before a wider rollout begins.
