ZTE Blade V9 debuts with dual rear cameras and Android 8.1 Oreo

ZTE Blade V9 official MWC 2018

The stream of new phones coming out of MWC 2018 continues with some fresh hardware from ZTE.

The ZTE Blade V9 is now official, packing a 5.7-inch "FullHD+" display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It's jumping on the dual rear camera trend, boasting a 16MP and 5MP rear camera setup that ZTE says has "exceptional low-light" capabilities and phase detection autofocus for faster focusing.

Inside the Blade V9 is a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor, 3,100mAh battery, FM radio, and NFC. There are two versions coming, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but both phones will have a microSD card slot. There'a also a rear fingerprint reader and 8MP front-facing camera on the Blade V9.

Announced alongside the Blade V9 is the Blade V9 Vita, a more affordable version of ZTE's Blade V9. The Blade V9 Vita has a 5.45-inch HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio, a dual rear camera setup with 13MP and 2MP cameras, and a 5MP front-facing camera. 

ZTE has also stuffed a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor inside the Blade V9 Vita's body along with a microSD card slot and 3,200mAh battery. Like the Blade V9, there will be two versions of the Blade V9 Vita, one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM and one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.

Both the ZTE Blade V9 and Blade V9 Vita will launch with Android 8.1 Oreo in tow. The Blade V9 will start at €269 ($331 USD) while the Blade V9 Vita will start at €179 ($220 USD).
