According to a new report, LG will be joining Samsung in introducing a new smartphone at MWC later this month.

The LG V30s will be announced at MWC, says ETNews. The V30s is an upgraded version of LG's V30 flagship from last year, and its big new feature is LG Lens.

LG Lens allegedly combines AI and the V30s camera to offer a feature similar to create a feature similar to Google's Lens and Samsung's Bixby Vision. The feature reportedly recognizes what you're pointing the V30s camera at and will show you product details and online shopping info.

LG's Lens will be able to translate languages, use augmented reality (AR) to show location info, and scan barcodes and QR codes.

In addition to this LG Lens feature, the LG V30s is said to have 256GB of storage, up from 64GB on the standard V30 and 128GB on the V30+.

We'll have to wait and see how well LG Lens performs before we know exactly how big of a deal this LG V30s will be, but one thing that we do know is that LG's new device is going to face some stiff competition at MWC in the form of the Galaxy S9.

Does the LG V30s interest you?
