Two days after the Essential Phone got its February 2018 security patch update, Essential has another treat for owners of its smartphone.
Essential today released an update to its Camera app. Included is a new Auto HDR feature and a new HDR algorithm that Essential promises will improve camera performance, capture speed, and scene rendering.
Rounding out this Camera app update are indicators for dynamic HDR and Flash as well as various stability fixes.
The camera performance has been one of the most heavily critiqued aspects of the Essential Phone, so it's good to see Essential continue to work to improve the device's camera capabilities. If you've got an Essential Phone, load up the Play Store and grab this Camera app update.
