Samsung says Galaxy S9 will be revealed at MWC

Late last year, rumors suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S9 may be previewed at CES. That doesn't look like it's going to happen, but the good news is that the actual reveal isn't far off.

Samsung will reveal the Galaxy S9 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. That's according to DJ Koh, president of Samsung's mobile business.

MWC will run from February 26th through March 1st.

Samsung hasn't said anything about what the Galaxy S9 will look like or what specs it'll feature, but the rumor mill has spilled details on both. The designs of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are expected to be similar to the S8 and S8+, but Samsung will reportedly address one of the biggest complaints about the S8 and S8+ and move the rear fingerprint reader from the right of the camera to the bottom of it.

It's also said that the S9+ will get a dual rear camera setup while the S9 will have a single rear camera.

In addition to talking about the Galaxy S9, DJ Koh briefly mentioned Samsung's foldable phone that we've been hearing about for some time now. Koh said that Samsung plans to launch the device sometime in 2019.
