A new OnePlus 5T beta update is now rolling out, and it brings with it an interesting new feature.
OnePlus today released the Open Beta 3 update for the OnePlus 5T. It brings with it new navigation gestures that you can enable by disabling the Android navigation buttons in the 5T's Settings app.
According to users on Reddit that've already installed this update, you can swipe up from the bottom left or bottom right of the OnePlus 5T's screen to go back. Swiping up from the center of the bottom will take you home, and pausing briefly after swiping up from the center will show your recent apps. You can see a video of the gestures in action here.
While it wasn't the first smartphone to have gesture navigation, that feature has been in the spotlight lately thanks to the iPhone X. These gestures for the OnePlus 5T are still in beta and it's unclear when or if they'll launch to the public, but users on the beta say that the gestures work well so far, and so a public launch might be good to see since it'd give customers the chance to see more of their display by ditching the nav bar.
The Open Beta 3 update for the OnePlus 5T also adds a pick-up gesture switcher for the Phone, removes the Clipboard function, adds a CPU security patch, and more.
