Days after OnePlus paused the OnePlus 5's Android Oreo update, the company has resumed the update's rollout.
The OnePlus 5 is now receiving OxygenOS 5.0.1, which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. This is up from OxygenOS 5.0, the update that OnePlus recently put on hold in order to "improve the user experience."
OnePlus explains that OxygenOS 5.0.1 is similar to OxygenOS 5.0, but with two notable additions:
- Bug fixes for third-party camera application
- Fixed network issues for European operators
Like all of OnePlus' software updates, OxygenOS 5.0.1 is going out in stages. That means that it may take a bit of time to hit your OnePlus 5. Still, it's good to see that OnePlus was able to turn around and start pushing a revised Oreo update within days of putting the previous update on hold.
