When the Amazon Echo first debuted in late 2014, it was kind of a strange product that was unexpected and kind of interesting, but also had a somewhat limited feature set. Since then, though, Amazon has beefed up the Echo with the ability to control smart home accessories like Philips Hue bulbs and local search with Yelp.
