Incoming Google Play app update adds white search bar with morphing hamburger button

If you love Google’s hamburger-menu-that-morphs-into-an-arrow, I’ve got some good news for you.

Google UI engineer Krill Grouchnikov has taken to Google+ to tease a Google Play update that includes a white search bar up top, similar to the standard Google search bar that’s on Android home screens. A GIF posted Grouchnikov shows that when you tap the search bar, the hamburger menu will morph into a back arrow.
