T-Mobile international data pass launching Aug. 1st, will offer 512MB of LTE data for $5

T-Mobile is making some big changes to its international travel offerings.

First up, T-Mobile is rolling out an international data pass on August 1st. This $5 pass will get you 512MB of up to 4G LTE data and unlimited calls for 24 hours in all Simple Global countries. Customers can purchase up to two passes in a 24-hour period.

Also of note is that T-Mobile is hiking the price of Simple Global roaming calling. These calls currently cost $0.20 per minute, but starting on your first bill cycle, they'll cost $0.25 per minute. This price will apply to calls within and between Simple Global countries and destinations as well as calls from Simple Global countries back to the U.S.

Finally, T-Mobile is increasing the number of Simple Global countries from 154 to more than 200 on July 22nd. The full list of Simple Global countries can be found at the bottom of this post.

Simple Global is T-Mobile's international roaming feature that's included with T-Mobile One plans. With it, customers can get unlimited texting as well as unlimited 2G data.
