Nokia X5 official with up to 4GB of RAM, 5.86-inch display with a notch

Two months after the debut of the Nokia X6, which was the first Nokia-branded phone to embrace the notch, another notched Nokia handset has been revealed.

The Nokia X5 is now official with a 5.86-inch 1520x720 display, complete with a notch up top and a Nokia-branded chin below. Inside that notch is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Around back there's a dual camera setup with a 13MP f/2.0 main sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. There are some special software camera features baked in, too, like bokeh support and beautifying functionality.

Inside the Nokia X5's glass and polycarbonate body is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor that's paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. There's a microSD card slot in there, too, if you need more storage. Rounding things out is a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, rear fingerprint reader, 3060mAh battery, and Android Oreo.

The 3GB/32GB version of the Nokia X5 is now available for pre-order in China for ¥999 ($149 USD). There's no word on when or if the phone will be available outside of China.

The Nokia X5 looks like a solid device for the price. It's got popular features like a large, 19:9 display and dual rear cameras, a glass body to give it a more premium feel, and a microSD card if you need more storage. If you're shopping for an affordable phone and live in a market when the Nokia X5 is available, it may be worth a look.
