Motorola is releasing an Android Go edition of the Moto E5 Play

This summer, Motorola introduced a series of smartphones for the budget phone market. Among the devices it introduced in April include the Moto E5 Play and the Moto E5 Plus. But it looks like Motorola is not finished with the Moto E5 brand just yet.

Earlier this week, the tech manufacturer revealed that it is still coming up with an (even less expensive) version of the Moto E5 Play. But how do they plan to do this? By creating an Android Go edition of the Moto E5 Play.

This model will include a 5.3-inch HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. Camera-wise, the phone will have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front sensor. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo upon unboxing and has a fingerprint sensor.

Since this phone is an Android Go model, it comes with a smoother experience for its budget chip. In addition, it comes pre-installed with “Light” apps that promise to require lesser overall storage than their heavier counterparts.

Unfortunately, the Moto E5 Play Android Go edition will only be available in the UK and Latin America by the end of July. It is said to be available with a price of around 127 euros, or around $109.
