Honor View10 now available for pre-order in the US for $499

Honor View10 official

If you've been wondering since January when the Honor View10 would be coming to the U.S., wonder no more.

Honor is now taking pre-orders for the View10 in the U.S. at a price of $499 Units will begin shipping out on March 22.

The Honor View10 comes equipped with a 5.99-inch 2160x1080 display with 18:9 aspect ratio, fingerprint reader, and 13MP camera on its face. Around back there's a dual camera setup with a 16MP RGB sensor and 20MP monochrome sensor.

Honor touts that the View10 can use AI to identify 13 types of scenes and adjust your camera's settings to fit the type of scene that you're capturing. Meanwhile, the 13MP front camera uses AI to separate the foreground from background, giving your selfies a bokeh-style blurry background.

Inside the View10 lives an octa-core Kirin 970 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. There are also dual SIM slots, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, face unlock, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3,750mAh battery powers the whole package.

On the software side, Honor has loaded Android 8.0 onto the View10 along with its custom EMUI 8.0 user interface.

The Honor View10 is another entry in the "affordable flagship" market, offering high-end specs like a large high-res display and 6GB of RAM for a more affordable price than we typically see flagship smartphones at. We'll have to wait until we get a unit in our hands before we know exactly how it performs, but if you're in the market for a high-end handset, the View10 may be worth a look.
