Rumors say that LG is cooking up another version of the V30 with AI camera smarts for an MWC debut, but that doesn't mean that LG doesn't have a brand new flagship coming.

LG is currently working on a new flagship smartphone codenamed "Judy", says VentureBeat. The device is said to have an all-new design and a 6.1-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Full Vision slim bezels.

Also of note about the Judy's display is that LG is reportedly using a new type of screen known as MLCD+. With an RGBW matrix that includes a white sub-pixel, the screen can allegedly achieve an 800-nit brightness while using 35 percent less power than regular IPS LCD screens.

Other specs said to be included with LG's Judy is a Snapdragon 845 processor, 64GB of built-in storage, 4GB of RAM, stereo speakers, HDR10, wireless charging, and an IP68 water and dust resistant body that can also stand up to impacts.

Like other recent LG flagships, the Judy is expected to have a dual rear camera setup. This phone will reportedly offer two 16MP cameras with f/1.6 lenses. LG is also said to be packing in its camera AI technologies into the Judy.

LG is said to be targeting a June debut for its new flagship device.

While some of these rumored features would be expected for a new LG flagship in 2018, like dual rear cameras and a Snapdragon 845, there are some interesting aspects of the Judy being rumored. That new battery-saving display sounds nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of new design LG has cooked up for its flagship.
