Remember last week when Andy Rubin did a Reddit AMA and said that the Essential Phone was at the “tail end” of the Verizon certification process? He wasn’t kidding, because that certification is now complete.
Essential has confirmed that the Essential Phone is now compatible with Verizon. This means that you should have no problem activating your Essential Phone in a Verizon store.
The Essential Phone has included support for Verizon’s network since its launch, but the news that the device has been officially certified for Verizon is still welcome news. If any Essential Phone owners are having issues with getting their shiny new phone up and running on Verizon, they should be able to get some help from their friendly neighborhood Verizon store.
