Do you still buy unlocked phones?

HTC 10

When I was younger, I wasn’t a big fan of two-year contracts. It wasn’t so much that I needed to switch carriers a lot, and so being locked down to one for such a long time was worrisome or anything like that. I’ve only switched carriers twice, in total, so that was certainly not it.

Do you hope HTC makes both Nexus devices this year?

HTC One M9 and Nexus

Things are looking up for HTC. Although HTC was a bit late to the party with the new HTC 10 device by lagging behind the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 release, the end result was worth waiting for. The positivity surrounding the announcement of the HTC 10 is reminiscent of when the HTC One M7 was introduced back in 2013. Here’s hoping that HTC is able to keep the momentum going for more than a year.

What do you want to see improved in Android N?

Android N

As is par for the course, we’ve been watching as companies like Samsung, HTC, and LG have been busy launching brand new Android-based smartphones that, ultimately, will become out-of-date software wise right around the corner. But, that’s not what we’re going to talk about today, because I honestly don’t think that’s as big of an issue anymore.

Instead, I want to focus more on Android itself, and what the future holds for Google’s mobile operating system.

A fad that ended too soon: Kickstands

HTC EVO 4G

I remember the first time I saw the HTC EVO 4G. My brother bought the phone within the first week that it came out, and he loved to show off this boldly large device with its 4.3-inch display and its miraculous 4G splendor to anybody who would listen.

I thought the whole thing was just ridiculous.

T-Mobile Music Freedom

T-Mobile has been working hard to be the “Un-carrier” for quite some time now, launching new plan-specific features that break away from the traditional wireless carrier model that we’ve all grown accustomed to seeing over the years.
